The INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPANY together with the CORAL SPRINGS CENTER FOR THE ARTS takes this opportunity to THANK OUR FIRST RESPONDERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. The Friday night performance at 7:30 is danced EXCLUSIVELY for the heroes that protected us during the pandemic.

Since the year 2000, Coral Springs Center for the Arts has welcomed the International Ballet Company and their annual season of the NUTCRACKER. A full-length magical show, not to be missed!

This best-loved holiday classic enthralls young and old with a delightful twist in the tale, snow falls from the sky, exciting stage effects and exquisite costuming tell the story to the unforgettable classical music score by P. Tchaikovsky.

The story tells of a young girl who falls deeply in love with the nutcracker doll given to her by her grandfather, the fabulous magician, Dr. Drosselmyer. The party with family and friends is enjoyed by everyone. Clara tries to protect her beloved toy from her jealous brother but, alas, the evening is horribly spoilt by his actions. Scary mice appear at midnight and a battle ensues between a Giant Rat King and the Nutcracker. Her brother, Fritz, anxious for her safety, protects her during the raging battle. Incredibly, her beloved nutcracker toy comes to life as the handsome Cavalier Prince, and they are transported through the glittering snow to the Kingdom of the Sweets. The majestic Sugar Plum Fairy and Princesses from foreign lands invite Clara to dance with them.

The captivated audience asks the question: "Was this really all a dream? Or, not?"
